Please have patients arrive to your office by 8:30 am even if your not scheduled until the afternoon. This is so if I have a cancellation and have to come earlier, the patient will already be there.
Please have the patient info form filled out and the patient shaved (after obtaining owner consent) prior to the sonographer's arrival.
If sedation is required owner consent must be presented prior to scan. It is the DVM's responsibility to administer drugs/sedation and to properly monitor the patient during the exam.
Light sedation helps reduce anxiety and prevents major movement yielding in a better diagnostic study.
EXAM PROCESS:
The day before I am scheduled to come to your office, I will call to confirm our appointments.
After I scan, I will upload my images and give you a Sonographer's Observation Report, if pathology is seen, or at your request, I can send them to one of our many specialist available through telesonography.
A disc copy of the images are available upon request.
I will usually send my case to VDIC or to Dr.Lindquist DVM,DABVP of Sonopath*, however, I will be glad to send them to a specialist of your choice.
*Dr. Lindquist will provide sameday preliminary results that will be followed by an official report and the latest info on that the disease.
